Nicole Smith’s hummus recipe

The hummus recipeĀ is as follows:
1/4 cup olive oil
1″ piece of ginger peeled and grated
1 garlic clove
1 398 mL can of chickpeas, drained, rinsed
juice of 1 lemon (or lime, i’ve also used an orange in the past)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp cracked pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne
pinch tumeric
pinch cinnamon
1 overflowing (really overflowing!!) tbsp of tahinni. As much as you can get on the spoon.
a bit of water to get the right consistency, about an 1/8 of a cup
Put everything in a blender and whirl away!!
